i'm from the philippines, taking up computer science, can i be a graphics artist or web designer on this course ? if not what course should i take ? is it in demand here and abroad ? do they make big money ? do i need more training (dreamweaver, photoshop, XTML…..) ?
programming is ok for me but i like art much more better because i like drawing….
do this career very rewarding ?
In the US you can actually take classes in graphic design.
Also, there are many talented web designers who never went to school, but they have a passion for designing web sites. (The most successful people that I know in high tech all dropped out of college.)
This is a competitive field. I wouldn't recommend it, unless you have a passion for it.

Obviously not, as i am one! and cant find a good job. In the UK there are not many opportunities, but u just gotta keep searching. Be persistent and never give up and someone will give you a chance, its a hard one. Some times i think was it worth while me getting a degree. Then after 6 months i got a temp job within IT so that was my start hopefully this will bring good things. Take every chance you get also try to undertake work experience while your studying will make a difference
i need to know by doing special Courses in NanoTechnology will be able to help my carrier to boon from being in the field of Software…Beacz I really Like this Technology …
