which is better? cambrdige or imperial college in london?

i am interested to do graduation in computer engineering from australia. can someone help me to understand its worth as compared to engineeing from india

G'day,

There are hundreds of Indian students currently studying in Australian universities and colleges, ranging from non-degree, undergraduate and postgraduate courses. I'll say abt 70% of them are planning to go back to work in India. If the Australian qualifications are not well accepted in India, you will have heard anything by now, wont you? Australian qualifications as far as I know are well accepted in South-East Asian countries.

Now… there are misconceptions abt the computer courses in Australia. Pls be advised that computer science and computer engineering are 2 totally different courses. To be able to study Master in Computer Engineering (or any other Master in Engineering courses), you MUST have an bachelor in engineering qualification equivalent the Australian's 4yrs Bachelor of Engineering. Master in Computer Science or Master of IT are science course and anyone with equivalent of Australian 3yrs standard degree can enter (depending on the results). So please be careful when selecting for your course.

There are only 41 universities in Australia, all of them are fully accredited and they are tightly controlled, therefore the quality and recognition of their graduates are equal from wherever university you are studying from. The most important thing is you have to READ the course information carefully, since some courses may have the same name but different content.

To find out the course that you are taking and where it is offered, I suggest you to go to IDP Education Australia website (www.idp.edu.au). IDP is an organisation that gives information to international students who wants to continue their study in Australia. Once decided on the uni, fill in the application form and send it together with certified copy of your academic qualification (in English and original language). The process will take abt 2-3weeks, depending on the time of the year.

Hope this helps. Good luck on your studies and welcome to Australia :)
