I am extremely literate at computers & the internet, and I am interested in a computer science career (programming, information systems, etc.) . Is this a good career to get into, and what and where do you usually work for?
Also software programming.
And could i make good money?

It's all up to you whether or not a career in Computer Science is fun. If you enjoy problem solving and math then you'll fall in love with computer science
According to nextSTEP Magazine that focuses on college and career, a Computer Software Engineer makes, on average, $79,995 per year and a Network System and Data Communication Analyst makes, on average, $63,918 per year. This tells you that a career in Computer Science is very rewarding and if you really love computers and math, it'll be fun.
Some major companies that you might work for are Microsoft, IBM, and Google. There are hundreds of companies that need individuals that have knowledge of computer science/information system because without them, the future of technology might come to a halt.

I am sure you would make good money in that type of career, but that only matters if you enjoy what you are doing. If you enjoy computer science then you may very well enjoy a career in that field.

I've certainly enjoyed it a lot and I've been doing it for quite a few years. But whether or not it's fun depends on whether you like problem-solving and logic problems and things like that.
The money is certainly good — software development, computer management, and systems analyst jobs typically rank among the top ones you can get with just a BA/BS — particularly once you move into management, if that's what you are aiming for. (Not up there with MDs, or JDs , but…) Check with the Bureau of Labor Statistics for further details:
